Chess Board [2021]

I made a chess board...guess it's time to learn how to play!

The board made from Black Walnut & Hard Maple and lifts off to reveal a storage cavity.

There seems to be something missing...Playing with those 'dollar store' type plastic pieces doesn't seem right. So in the [not] so near future, I'll be making some contemporary styled pieces to complete the project.
