We Made a Chair [& an Ottoman]
The design of these planters is from Valhalla Woodworks in Scotland, England. The smaller one was designed based upon the Valhalla video. After a reasonably successful build, I decided to make a slightly larger version, for a plant that had outgrown the cheap wooden barrel planter it was living in.
The barrel measured 26" across its largest width, so I decided to give it some more space, making my width 30". It seems that my spatial awareness was on break, because I didn't account for the fact that a 30"x30" box was WAAAY bigger than a barrel that was 26" at its widest point.
It was during the initial assembly steps that I realized my miscalculation, but by then it was too late to do anything about it. Hence, the enormous younger sister.
