liquor display shelf

My FIRST commissioned piece. (I know - someone offered to pay me to build them something; shocking & cool)

A friend had a bit of a messy liquor bottle/wine bottle layout on top of a sideboard and offered to pay me to make her a 3 shelf bottle display. She gave me the basic dimensions and then set me loose to come up with something.

After designing the entire thing in my head (don't really recommend this approach), the final build was roughly 1/2 inch longer than desired and one shelf was a 1/4 narrower. Not bad for my "mental design" concept.

My plans to use the profits on this to get my next tool were squashed when we decided it would make a nice 50th Birthday gift for her instead. The next tool will still be coming, but I truly enjoy giving my creations away as gifts.
