We Made a Chair [& an Ottoman]
Once I had a workbench to "work" on, it was time to create something, so Luna (the shop dog) and I got busy creating the California Casual table.
Things I learned during this project: 1) my cutting skills aren't as accurate as I originally believed. 2) Proper sanding is more important than I originally believed & 3) your finishing coat requires you to slow down and be more deliberate than I originally believed. Leading me to the main point of this story: My original woodworking beliefs are a MESS and I have a lot of room for growth.
In the end, the table is fully functional, looks nice [just don't look too close] and it improves the feel of the backyard patio; so I'm putting it in the WIN column.
